The Futurium offers space for exciting discussions, creative workshops and visionary ideas. Explore, discuss, test; the Futurium gives its visitors a glimpse into the world of tomorrow. It shows the challenges, opportunities and risks as well as the building blocks with which the future can be shaped. At the same time, the Futurium is a place of encounter: Politics, science, business, art and society come together here to exchange ideas about the future.

The Joint Committee on the Handling of Security-Relevant Research is a body established by the DFG and the Leopoldina to sustainably strengthen awareness of the dual use of research results, the responsible handling of security-relevant research, and the self-regulation of the sciences in this regard.

Understanding animal testing

"Understanding Animal Experimentation" is a German science initiative coordinated by the Alliance of Science Organizations. It provides comprehensive, up-to-date and fact-based information about animal experiments at publicly funded research institutions. Biomedical research directly serves to elucidate fundamental processes in the organism and to develop new methods in the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of diseases in humans such as cancer, diabetes, AIDS and Alzheimer's disease, and also in animals.

Science in dialogue

Wissenschaft im Dialog is committed to promoting discussion and exchange about research in Germany. The non-profit initiative organizes dialog events, exhibitions and competitions and develops new formats of science communication. Wissenschaft im Dialog was founded in 1999 on the initiative of the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft.

Center for Science Management

As a platform and network, the ZWM promotes exchange between the "pillars" of the German science system; universities, colleges, research institutions, departmental research, funding organizations and partners from industry. This structure allows the ZWM to mobilize experts with many years of experience for its training and consulting services.
